Pink Floyd 'Nuff said.

In terms of metal, well, I'm not a huge metal fan, except for Iron Maiden, but I always seen Metal that has more of a dark regal sound to it it sounds better, especially with an ominous organ playing awesomely in the bakcground. Listen to, say, Nightwish I guess? Keyboardists help create the right atmosphere.
