Ok the LC15R has a reverb thats why it's a little more expensive (it's a nice reverb too, accutronix make nice reverb tanks)

The reason the first one it nearly £250.. i think is because it is the newun with not much more in terms of features from what i can see, but probably a better amp, maybe not worth spending an extra £100 on it though if you can pick up the old one for that money!

I feel like I might be about to commit a heathen sin - buying an amp without auditioning...

I'm off to the USofA with work, next tuesday, for 3 weeks. Will probably wait til I get back before splashing out the dough. I might even get the chance to check out a guitar dealer while I'm away. That might help?

Thanks for the help, dudes

Company holiday huh? :P

And yeah why not check out a few guitar shops there if you have time, might expose something else to you! It might be hard to get hold of something you liked in the UK that you've seen in the US unless it's a real big manufacture.

"Company holiday huh?"

HaHa

Exercise Red Flag, Nellis AFB...

...Las Vegas!

Should be really hard work.
But I might get the chance to visit a guitar shop while I'm there. Doubt I'll be buying anything, as I won't be able to bring it back with me and I expect shipping would be a tad 'spensive.

I'll let y'all know how it's going in off topic :)

If you can find a good deal in a local craigslist (by local i mean close to where you are visiting in the US) I'd still buy it and fed ex it to your house.

If you're going the Valvetronix route anyway, I'd suggest the 50 watt version. Personally, the lower watts that they have to offer doesn't sound all that good. This one's a keeper. You can even adjust the output down to 25 watts.
