Me and a web developer have been talking for the past few days and he (and a few others) have agreed to join my development team for Talk Guitar. Together we have decided an initial plan for the site, which software we are using and what steps we and going to take in what order. I still can't say when it will be finished, it could be a long time away, but at least it gets the ball rolling. And by the way, from what I have seen, you guys are going to be pretty impressed with the outcome!

We have the domain and we now have the hosting and more importantly we have at least 1 developer and several more interested in the project. I think we should have it up and running (bare in mind this is just an estimate) by February/March 2010 and hope to have the full site completed by July/August.

I currently have a professional graphic designer working on a logo for us and the developer is getting ready to start putting everything together in a couple of weeks time. I know I promised a functioning site for March 2010, but I think more probably it's going to be around May/June. Good new though, all EGF members are going to have special premiere access to the site before anybody else. You will be able to access the site and forums while the site is still under development and you will be able to see things as they develop. Also, for the regulars of EGF, I am going to be giving you all FREE premium membership. I will also be looking to hire some admins and moderators soon for the forums, aswell as news writers and editors for the website. PM me if you are interested.

Where did you get that from?? I looked at it and it was a generic looking site that features a spam filled search engine. It's not the same one that's up now though. I received on offer for TalkGuitar.com that I couldn't refuse so it has been sold. It is now owned by TalkBass.com. The reason being that work was falling behind schedule and costs were soaring. I now have a family to provide for and I didn't foresee works being completed anytime soon. The only way out was to sell up and since I had a good offer on the table, I took it. I do still want to do something... whether that be a new site, or an improved EGF. I don't know yet. Do you guys have any ideas? Seems to have hit a brick wall at the moment...
